Berytech Presents Its Ecosystem to the European Network of Living Labs

Being member of European network of living lab since 2012, bringing together over than 340 Living Labs, from all over the world, Berytech took part in Open Living Lab Days conference, in Amsterdam on September 2 to 5, an annual summit of the worldwide Living Lab community integrated with the popular ENoLL Summer School (5th edition).
The annual 4 day event included interactive sessions, workshops, and lively discussion panels with excursions and off-site visits with the aim of giving the participants a wider insight about models, theories and technologies related to Living Labs. Participants had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience from the leading experts on the subject and to network with other Living Lab enthusiasts.

Berytech, represented by krystel khalil, program manager, got the chance to present its innovation model in the region in the matchmaking session, seeking collaboration and business development with other innovation structures from different regions from the world.
The living lab concept combines technology as a tool, people as focus and involvement as approach and Berytech being actively involved in entrepreneurship, is planning to develop this approach and applies it to its community of entrepreneurs, helping them collaborate together in business and involve the customers they address in the process of their product or service development. This leads to improving customer experience of businesses, developing their business model in a more realistic approach and adapting continuously to the market needs.

Berytech is looking forward to developing the living lab community in Lebanon and bring together individuals interested to collaborate, share and co-create innovation models for the benefit of the community.
About Living Lab:
A Living Lab is a real-life test and experimentation environment where users and producers co-create innovations. Living Labs have been characterized by the European Commission as Public-Private-People Partnerships (PPPP) for user-driven open innovation. A Living Lab employs four main activities:
1. Co-Creation: co-design by users and producers
2. Exploration: discovering emerging usages, behaviors and market opportunities
3. Experimentation: implementing live scenarios within communities of users
4. Evaluation: assessment of concepts, products and services according to socio-ergonomic, socio-cognitive and socio-economic criteria.
The main aim is to evaluate a certain product or service from its customer/user aspect side, allowing users to give feedback to the service/product founder about the current features/characteristics of the service/product. This helps the entrepreneur to further develop his product/service according to the needs of the customer and permits at the same time to know the weaknesses/strengths of his/her product/service.
This implies that the audience of the living lab targets mainly the people who are interested in the product/service as a user; but also, any interested person is also welcome to join. This session will be hosting Bnooki.com, a first of a kind online platform in Lebanon and the region bringing banks and consumers closer together
