Berytech, SHAAMS & Partners Unite for Earth Hour Lebanon

The association G in partnership with SHAAMS, Berytech and strategic environmental organizations, organized an incredible event in Beirut, Biel center, gathering more than 1500 youngsters and individuals passionate for the environment, to celebrate “Earth Hour” Lebanon, on March 28, 2015. The minister of environment launched the event, sharing his appreciation to all attendees and support and encouragement to all the initiatives they are developing for a greener Lebanon highlighting: “Let us unite for the environment and save our earth specially for future generations  & “we can make Earth Hour a monthly hour and not just necessarily annual hour and use eco-friendly approach in our way of living”.

Young talents, artists, singers and organizations showcased extraordinary entertainment shows based on eco-friendly lighting and material. Representatives of strategic touristic locations in the city turned off the light of their organizations, showing support to this global cause. The event was broadcasted on major tv channels, maximizing the event impact and raising awareness on solar and renewable energy. All the event was built around zero energy, zero waste and zero carbon concept. The ceremony was held at the Pavillon Royal Hall in Biel within the framework of the global movement for Earth Hour which is shared by millions of 162 countries around the world.
Local partners joined forces with SHAAMS and Berytech, featuring JCI Beirut and Zero Waste Act.
Berytech supported actively the project being the communication leader for SHAAMS, an EU-funded project which aims at promoting solar and renewable energies in the Mediterranean countries.
