Tannourine Reserve - Tannourine

Autumn is considered to be the best season for hiking, with the breathtaking changing colors of nature, low humidity, no bugs and less crowds.

Our guide Mr. Sami Beydoun, Managing Partner of Berytech Fund, is taking us on Saturday October 3rd to Tannourine Reserve.

We shall start the hike at the Ribaz Mountain, and then we will enter the cedar’s natural reserve forest of Tannourine, at an altitude of about 1,500m- 1,700m.

The reserve is very well maintained, with clear and marked trails, fresh clean air and magnificent views. The trail inside the reserve goes round the mountain; therefore, it is relatively flat with some minor uphill and downhill. Outside the reserve, the terrain is rugged and there are moderate uphill.

We shall walk for about 5 hours (including breaks), at a moderate pace, with many breaks in between for snacks, photos, and picnic lunch.

What to bring:

Proper hiking shoes, hat, sun glasses, sunscreen, light jacket or wind breaker, camera, snacks, picnic lunch, one liter of water, a back pack to carry them, walking poles if available.

Gathering point is at Berytech Technology & Health Mathaf, at 07:30 AM for departure by bus at 07:45 AM SHARP! There won’t be any stops on the way, so please ensure you have your breakfast before departure. Return is estimated at 5:30-06:00 PM

Booking is restricted to 25 participants on a first come first served basis due to bus limited seating.

Please register at abassil@bth.berytech.org by Septemeber 30th the latest or by calling Ms. Aphrodite Bassil on 01-612500. This trip is free of charge.
