Berytech, in partnership with BEL Group, IPTEC, BLC Bank, and with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the collaboration of experts from FarmHack.NL and Source Institute, is organizing the second edition of the Agrytech Hackathon.

About the Hackathon

The Agrytech Hackathon is an exciting experience where people from various backgrounds collaborate to create innovative solutions to challenges in the agriculture and food sectors over the course of one weekend.

 

What should you expect?

A weekend full of action! The hackathon launches on Friday April 20 in the afternoon in Berytech Innovation Park Mar Roukoz in Mkalles and continues over a period of 54 hours. Mentors and industry experts will guide you to develop your prototypes and agri-food solutions. Pitching and jury will take place on Sunday evening.

 

I’m not a Hacker, Can I still join the Hackathon?

Of course! You don’t have to be an expert to join, all you need is your innovative business mind and your strong problem-solving skills.  You are also encouraged to apply if you are a technical developer, engineer, agronomist, food expert, designer, or a business-minded and. You can apply with your own idea, or you can hack one of the preset challenges. You can participate as a team or an individual.

 

What do I win?

First and Second place winners will receive $3,200 and $1,500 respectively, another $3,300 grant each as they are guaranteed to join phase 1 of the Agrytech Accelerator, in addition to trainings and support provided by the Agrytech Program valued at $60K. Both teams have access to up to $40k, as they move forward in the Accelerator.
