Bring innovation into agriculture and launch your agri-tech business in 4 days!

Applications are now open for the Agrytech Hackathon 2019. The third edition is taking place at Berytech Innovation Park in Mar Roukoz on the 23-24-25 August 2019, with field trips scheduled on August 22, and a closing ceremony for the program on August 28.

The Agrytech Hackathon is organized in partnership with Source Institute – international developers of entrepreneurship programs, and with the full support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Lebanon.

4 Themes

We are hoping the teams will use technology to tackle challenges under the following 4 themes

1. Farming: in this category, we are looking at solutions to solve challenges from the supply of products and materials to farming practices including harvesting.
2. Postharvest: in this category, we are looking at solutions to solve challenges from the time the products are harvested/collected till they reach processors or consumers
3. Manufacturing – processing: in this category, we are looking at solutions to solve challenges from the time the products reach processors through different transformation activities including packaging and distribution
4. Market place: in this category, we are looking at solutions to solve challenges online or offline in marketing, distribution and exports of the products.
