Nowadays, there is a great reliance on Green technologies to solve environmental problems and to conserve natural resources. Sustainable management has become a worldwide priority for businesses and governments. “Cleantech” refers to a wide range of innovative environment-friendly products and services in the fields of construction, energy, production and sanitation processes, water, waste management, and so on. There is no doubt that “Cleantech” has developed into a promising sector, in Lebanon as well as in Switzerland.

In this context, and with the aim of creating opportunities for the “Cleantech” industry in Lebanon and Switzerland, the Embassy of Switzerland, in partnership with Berytech, is organizing a visit of Swiss “Cleantech” enterprises in Beirut on 21-23 April 2016. With this visit the Embassy of Switzerland and Berytech aim to foster trade and commerce between the two countries, to prepare the ground for innovation and to facilitate the exchange of expertise. The delegation of Swiss enterprises will be led by the Swiss State Secretary for Education, Research and Innovation Mauro Dell’Ambrogio and the Ambassador of Switzerland in Lebanon François Barras.

The visit will include, among other elements, business-to-business activities between Swiss and Lebanese companies, workshops on doing business in Lebanon as well as on the local energy and environment sector and a press conference.

If you’re a Lebanese enterprise in the wider field of “cleantech” with a strong interest in partnering with innovative counterparts from Switzerland through our Business-to-Business Matchmaking activity, kindly fill out this online form by April 15 the latest so that we have a better understanding of your offers and needs.

This allows us to identify potential business partners among the Swiss delegation of enterprises and therefore to ensure a successful matchmaking.

Screened companies will be notified prior to the event.

The business-to-business exchange with the Swiss enterprises takes place on Thursday evening, 21 April 2016, and on Friday, 22 April 2016.
