The Elevator Roadshow is THE NEXT SOCIETY movement launch event in MENA countries where innovation ecosystem stakeholders gather to celebrate creativity, leadership, sustainable solutions and forward-looking partnership.

It is organised by Berytech in Lebanon with the financial support of the European Union.

This event will introduce the services delivered within Three Booster Tracks designed for entrepreneurs, cluster managers and technology transfer office managers.

 

Three Booster Tracks

Entrepreneurs have the opportunity to apply and take part in the pitch session to access the Start-up Booster Track services and scale their venture. Learn more to apply. Who can attend? Open to all. Only pre-selected start-ups will have the opportunity to pitch in front of the audience.

Cluster managers are invited to join the Cluster Booster Track workshop to learn more about the spirit and methodology of our cluster peer-to-peer learning services. Check the Cluster Booster Track Flyer. Who can attend? Clusters, technology parks, innovation hubs, business federations, sector federations.

TTO managers can attend the TTO Booster Track workshop to share with peers their challenges and needs and learn about their capacity-building services developed for them. Who can attend? Technology transfer offices, research centres, innovation labs.

The track is open for innovative early stage start-ups with impact-driven solutions. Seven shortlisted applicants will pitch.

13:30-16:30 Clusters Booster Track workshop

Facilitators: Alain Tubiana & Sara Botti (France Clusters)

Conceived as a specific session to gather clusters, innovation hubs and techno parks managers as well as similar business networks’ representatives at country level, the workshop will explore a common cluster management issue previously identified by Lebanese cluster/network managers through a dedicated questionnaire, and encourage the share the experiences between peers, with the help of our experts. The intent is to show the relevance of the Cluster Booster Track opportunities by giving some concrete clues to cluster/network’ managers.

 

13:30-16:30 TTO Booster Track workshop

Facilitator: Mathias Fillon (Anima Investment Network)

This session aims to mobilise a group of Technology Transfer experts and Office managers interested to benefit from capacity building opportunities, supporting the creation and growth of technology transfer units in Lebanon. The workshop will include an interactive discussion:

  • Presenting the TTO status and challenges in Lebanon and exploring solutions and recommendations for the support of these structures.
  • Presenting the Next society ambitions and opportunities regarding the technology transfer booster track action plan.

 

13:30-16:30 Mentoring Awareness session

Facilitators: Thanaa Khasawneh & Christine Francis (Mowgli Mentoring)

The session aims to raise awareness about mentoring, its meaning as well as its importance and value in driving economic development and social change. The sessions provide clarity around the differences between mentoring, coaching, training and consulting as well as the importance, benefits and impact of mentoring for both mentors and mentees, provide clear information regarding the program, its benefits and commitment requirements. These sessions are a key component of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) accredited Mowgli Mentoring syllabus.
