#FinanceFridays First Training Session on February 22, 2019, with Patrick Atme.

Berytech is kicking off a new program which aims to offer an opportunity to startups and SMEs for getting investment-ready, identifying the right channels of funding, and raising funds.

#FinanceFridays consist of a series of sessions led and given by experts and key stakeholders from leading financial institutions, banks, and governmental entities, and key players in the startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

For this first session of #FinanceFridays, Patrick Atme – Job Creation Operations Manager of ESFD, will present funding options through the Economic and Social Fund for Development (ESFD). 

The purpose of this session is for startups and SMEs to have an understanding of the eligibility criteria, requirements, mechanisms and processes to access different sources of funds, including grants, loans, and competitions. The session will be detailed as follows:

  • Main requirements for loans eligibility
  • Type of facilities available
  • Overview of the ESFD services

About the Expert

Patrick Atme – UNDP Consultant, has been assisting the Economic & Social Fund for Development (ESFD) in providing financial and non-financial services to SMEs since 2011. For the past 8 years, Patrick has been delivering financial advisory to small entrepreneurs, helping them apply for loans with commercial banks.

Before starting his financial advisory role, Patrick spent 9 years as a risk and credit analyst in the banking sector. After a successful career assessing risk and structuring credit facilities, Patrick now helps SMEs write business plans/feasibility studies to apply for loans.
