ISOC Lebanon in cooperation with the Internet Society hosted a Full Day Remote Participation Hub during Global INET 2012 “Imagining the Future Internet” conference, which took place in Geneva, Switzerland, on April 23, at Beirut IX, Berytech.
“Imagining the Future Internet” event marks the launching of ISOC Lebanon members’ activities. The event was moderated locally by Bernard Sadaka, a renowned Internet Governance Remote Participation expert.
ISOC Lebanon Chair, Mr. Nabil BuKhalid, welcomed the Lebanon Remote Hub participants, thus launching ISOC Lebanon members and public activities following to ISOC Lebanon official incorporation in January 2012. The webcast was attended by around 30 ISOC Lebanon members interested in the different themes of the conference, namely Internet Governance, Youth & Social Networking. The closing session of the Lebanon Hub was a wrap-up and an invitation to take the lead and actively participate in ISOC Lebanon projects and programs.
