HealthTech Startup Challenge Winners

Under the patronage of HE Mr. Marwan Hamadé, Minister of Education and Higher Education, a gathering was held at the Faculty of Pharmacy USJ titled “Therapeutic Innovation and Entrepreneurship Pharmaceutical “on Monday, May 22, 2017. 

It primarily aimed at professionals in the pharmaceutical and medical field, but also faculty and students. The inaugural session began with the words of Marianne Abi Fadel, Dean of the Faculty, followed by Maroun Chammas, CEO of Berytech, Dr. Ahmad El-Jammal representing the Minister of Education and Higher Education and Father Salim Daccache, Rector of USJ who expressed his pride in seeing the students’ innovative projects. He said: “The contest of the rising entrepreneur is a beautiful illustration of what can be done at USJ to foster the spirit of business in quality and excellence.”

Mr. Maroun Chammas announced the results of the pharmaceutical, nutritional and organic entrepreneurship competition and the three finalists presented their startups project.

The first prize was awarded to the “QuickER Leb” project, 2nd prize to “Marly’s Candies” and the third to “Mediclick.” The #HealthTechStartup awards were followed by the launch of the 3rd Career Forum of the Faculty of Pharmacy, where all the pharmaceutical companies present held stands for information purposes.
