The Business Support Department at Berytech is looking to expand its team by hiring a Business Support Officer.
As a Business Support Officer, you will be involved in the organization and implementation of business incubation programs, competitions and special projects all aimed at supporting entrepreneurs. This position also provides support to other departments of Berytech; general management, communication & outreach and community management.
This position requires a team player with excellent communication skills, a professional and positive attitude, customer service orientation, organizational skills and resourcefulness. The applicant is expected to be a self-learner with high initiative taking and passionate about entrepreneurship and supporting startups.
This position requires to be present some evenings and on weekends for special projects when required.
SCOPE OF WORK
Key responsibilities: The Business Support Officer will be responsible for supporting the business incubation programs, competitions and special projects of the department. This would be inclusive of the following:
Overall planning the activities alongside the Business Support Manager, aligning resources, skills and operations of the department
Incubation Programs: Support the business incubation, work with incubated teams and entrepreneurs, anticipate and respond to their needs
Program management: Assist in developing the programs, plan and execute them as per the guidelines and ensure implementation comply with Berytech core principles, standards, and procedures
Competitions: Organize all aspects of business plan competitions from set-up to incubation including but not limited to: communication and branding, outreach, criteria, implementation, training workshops, pitching and incubation support. Co-ordinate activities and ensure deadlines and responsibilities remain aligned.
Monitoring & evaluation: Maintain up-to-date and accurate data collection and use the management information systems in place
Build and maintain relationships with partners, ecosystem partners, the community and suppliers
Events and workshops: Plan various workshops/events/trainings for the community, and execute the same with the help of team members and external consultants
Participate in all required reports by providing input on support provided an impact made and produce reporting on the progress and status of projects ensuring that issues are escalated and managed as required
Present a positive, professional image of the company with all customers and suppliers, internal and external
