Agrytech Startups Batch 6 Break New Ground in the Netherlands 

During May 2024, three innovative startups from the Agrytech Batch 6 Accelerator (Agriworm Solutions, Dr. Feed and Loop), embarked on a soft-landing trip to the Netherlands as part of the final program phase. The soft landing trip was strategically designed to help these startups tap into promising opportunities in the Dutch agrifood sector; which focused on their participation in the 10th F&A Next Sumit and tailored one-on-one meetings with industry experts and relevant stakeholders. 

What is The Agrytech Soft-Landing Trip? 

The Soft-Landing trip, also known as the “market entry” trip, is an initiative within the Agrytech Accelerator Program that aims to help startups expand into the Dutch and European Markets. The trip focused on acquiring customers and piloting solutions within a select group of clients. 

The Trip’s Key Objectives 

  • Building Brand Awareness: Increasing visibility in the Dutch market. 
  • Pilot Testing: Testing solutions with initial customers to gather feedback. 
  • Expansion Opportunities: Assessing the potential for establishing a presence in the Netherlands. 
  • Attending the F&A Next Event: Engaging with key stakeholders in the AgriFoodTech industry. 

The Trip Highlights 

F&A Next Event on May 22 & 23 at Wageningen University

F&A Next Event: The ninth edition of F&A Next, held on May 22 and 23 at Wageningen University, was a cornerstone of the trip. This event brought together the world’s brightest minds in AgriFoodTech, featuring diverse keynotes, presentations, panels, workshops, round tables, campus visits, networking opportunities, and showcasing innovative startups. Over 850 participants from 36 countries across five continents attended, making it a hub of innovation and collaboration.

Tailored One-on-One Meetings: Each startup scheduled tailored meetings with Dutch specialists to support the development of their solutions and assess expansion opportunities into the Dutch market. These meetings were invaluable for making connections with industry experts, exploring opportunities for collaboration in the Netherlands and Lebanon, and building international exposure and brand awareness.

Conclusion 

Overall, the soft-landing trip to the Netherlands provided an experiential platform for the startups to get inspired, build connections, and explore new market opportunities and pave a promising growth journey beyond the Agrytech Program.
