BASATINE (Bolstering Agriculture Systems’ Ability to Invest, Nourish, and Employ) is a 4-year programme aiming to sustain the capacity of Lebanese agriculture to produce food for the local market, create and maintain jobs, generate social cohesion between host communities and refugees, as well as promote gender impartiality.

In order to better protect eco-innovation within the clothing and textiles sector in Lebanon, Berytech launched a consultancy mission to develop a report on the state of play and the current Lebanese landscape regarding Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of eco-innovation in textile enterprises.
So far, the 39 innovators have helped more than 55,0000 smallholder farmers and other end-users produce more than 250,000 tons of food while saving more than 43 million kWh of energy. Of the end-users supported by WE4F, more than 17,000 end-users had increased incomes in the MENA region.
In a report published by Startup Genome, a world-leading policy advisory and research organization for public and private organizations, Berytech and it’s Agrytech Program were named in the top Agtech players in the MENA region.
Over three days, on June 10, 11 and 12, the Diverting Waste by Encouraging Reuse and Recycling (DAWERR) activity, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is launching in collaboration with Berytech the second edition of the Ideathon.

House of Lilies is an organic farm that grows indigenous and exotic crops while promoting healthy lifestyles, partnerships with the land, and strengthening the local economy. The farm uses the concept of permaculture, an approach intended to design the development of agricultural ecosystems to be sustainable and self-sufficient.
