While PowerX pulsed with innovation, one moment stood out for its strategic clarity and future focus: the soft launch of Lebanon’s first Sustainable Energy Cluster.
As the country sets its sights on more resilient, cleaner energy systems, the cluster’s emergence couldn’t be timelier. PowerX offered a unique platform to introduce this initiative to the national ecosystem, through a soft launch that brought together its founding members, energy experts, and institutional partners for a forward-looking exchange. The session was held alongside the soft launch of the Waste Valorization Cluster, highlighting the complementary focus of both efforts.

The session opened with reflections from Ramy Boujawdeh, Berytech’s Chief Operating Officer, who positioned clustering as a vehicle for long-term economic transformation. He reaffirmed Berytech’s commitment to sectoral innovation and building mechanisms that help Lebanon transition toward sustainability at scale.
“These clusters are not about duplication – they’re about complementing efforts and creating lasting impact.”
Ramy Boujawdeh, COO
Youssef Yammine, Manager of the Sustainable Energy Cluster, took the stage to outline the cluster’s mission and direction. With a focus on advancing clean energy adoption, technology development, and sector coordination, Yammine emphasized the role of the cluster as a convener of stakeholders, from innovators and startups to research institutions and utilities. His message was clear: if Lebanon is to achieve energy resilience, coordinated action must begin now.

The session concluded with a symbolic group photo featuring the cluster’s nucleus members, capturing a shared readiness to shape Lebanon’s energy future together.
During the rest of PowerX, the Sustainable Energy Cluster hosted a dedicated exhibition booth, welcoming a steady flow of interested visitors. From clean tech entrepreneurs to public officials, the booth sparked dialogue, connections, and fresh ideas for sector advancement.
While the formal launch lies ahead, the soft launch at PowerX served its purpose: it introduced the initiative not just as a program, but as a movement in formation. And if the engagement and energy witnessed during the summit are any indication, the Sustainable Energy Cluster is launching into a space that’s more than ready.
