About The Academy

Berytech is launching the EuroMed Clusters Forward Face-to-Face Academy, a three-day intensive training program offering expert support for five clusters in building their capacities, developing growth strategies, and learning from 15+ Cluster Managers and Board Members. 

The program will focus on allowing clusters to understand the ICT value chain, map opportunities, and integrate research and innovation in the ICT and Creative industry sectors to support cluster development in the South-Med region. 

The program will be delivered in Lebanon on October 16, 17, 18, 2023 and conducted in English.

Program Objectives

The program is carefully designed to:

  • Enable clusters to understand and analyze regional value chains in the ICT, knowledge economy and creative industries sectors.
  • Empower clusters to build their value chain strategy.
  • Grow the cluster’s network to strengthen their value chain and their position in the industry.
  • Share knowledge within the cluster value chain to improve innovation, collaboration, and overall cluster performance.

    Participating will allow the clusters to:  

    • Understand and map their value chains: fundamental components and actors and their importance in the cluster’s development.
    • Identify opportunities and build strategies and partnerships for the cluster’s value chain development that align with overall regional economic growth objectives and enhance the quality, and efficiency of the services.
    • Develop a market strategy to attract new members and potential partners – national, regional, and international.
    • Access hands-on tools for value chain optimization and integration.

    Eligibility
    Criteria

    • Applying clusters need to come from these seven South Med Countries: Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco.
    • Clusters need to be working in the ICT, Knowledge Economy, or Creative Industry Sectors including furniture & wood, fashion & design, arts & crafts, R&D, jewelry, marble, advertising & digital content, interior design, and habitat.
    • Clusters are registered on the ECCP Platform.
    • Clusters have well-defined challenges they are working to address.

    The selection process will be based on the above criteria, in addition to:

    • Having 3 participants per cluster
    • A balance between the 7 eligible countries.
    • A balance between the eligible sectors.
    • Cluster’s motivation and expectations.

    Academy Goals

    By participating in this academy, more than 15 cluster managers and board members representing 5 clusters from the South Med region (Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco) will be better equipped with knowledge and tools to understand and map their value chains, identify opportunities, and build strategies to attract new members, improve sectoral efficiency, diversify their service offering and increase the competitiveness of their members.

    Berytech is the implementing partner in Lebanon of  EuroMed Clusters Forward (ECF) which is funded by the European Union and coordinated by Anima Investment Network with three implementing partners and nine affiliates from the Euromed region.
