Business Development Support Specialist for Bekaa and Chouf Areas

The Business Development Support Specialist will join the vibrant Berytech team to support the design, management, and implementation of the REAF Program activities with the aim of supporting start-ups and entrepreneurs in Lebanon predominately in the Chouf, West and Central Bekaa areas.

Berytech implements programs in the entrepreneurship and innovation field with the aim of supporting the creation and development of novel businesses in various fields such as circular economy, social entrepreneurship, Water/Energy/Food Nexus, research, IP, and more. Programs’ activities include outreach and partnership development, innovation camps, capacity-building-building workshops, acceleration, incubation, corporate training, and corporate events.


  • Manage and implement successful entrepreneurship support initiatives to empower start-ups in growing their ventures through business development activities such as boot camps, accelerations, incubators, access to market, and access to finance.
  • During the Incubation phase, the BDS will coordinate on weekly basis with internal experts to support the workshops and clinics activities where needed.
  • Develop manage and maintain relationships with BDS stakeholders including experts, investors, mentors, coaches, partners, etc.
  • Ensure the needed follow-up with the program beneficiaries (Entrepreneurs), including needs assessment, progress monitoring, follow-up, and one-on-one support.


  • Plan, design, and lead the BDS program’s activities to ensure goals, and objectives are met within the prescribed timeframe and funding of the donor.
  • Implement in collaboration with the programs team the entrepreneurship activities aiming at empowering the growth of businesses. This includes capacity building, acceleration, creative problem solution, product and market validation, incubation, access to grants, and access to the market.
  • She/he will be part of the Program team, and will work with cross-functional teams to plan, develop and monitor activity deliverables according to work plan, budgets, and timeline of the programs and activities.

Direct Entrepreneurship support

  • Participate in the screening and selection of applicant start-ups/companies.
  • Conduct needs assessment for entrepreneurs, one-on-one follow-up, monitoring, and reporting of progress.
  • Design and develop capacity building training for both entrepreneurs and implementing partners according to conducted needs assessment.
  • Understand the requirements of the start-ups and the source of business problems and suggest solutions accordingly.
  • Oversee the pre and post acceleration phases while coordinating with Berytech departments to ensure resources and in-house expertise are available on time. Develop policies and procedures related to business support activities.
  • Schedule and set up incubation workshops whilst coordinating with internal experts to deliver TOTs and direct training as well as selected external experts.
  • Support the procurement team in scouting and selecting external experts.

Experts and Partners Management, growing business development opportunities

  • Use personal and professional networks to develop linkages, identify networking and funding opportunities and initiate collaborations with experts and investors and with ecosystem partners to support the start-ups.
  • Participate in maintaining and developing the Expert Database and Capacity Building Directory.
  • Work closely with experts and trainers and the programs team to develop a capacity-building plan for partners in each area.
  • Analyze and maintain an awareness of trends within business incubation as a discipline, and where appropriate, suggest changes in the nature of the services offered by the program.
  • Participate in exhibitions, conferences, and other external events to be able to source more experts and investors for Berytech Network, and coordinate activities with relevant team members.
  • Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.
  • Analyze and maintain an awareness of trends with the regional business incubations and acceleration.
  • Schedule and set up incubation workshops whilst coordinating with internal experts to deliver TOTs and direct training as well as selected external experts.
  • Support the procurement team in scouting and selecting external experts.

Other Responsibilities

  • Document policies and procedures and BDS tools related to related business support activities.
  • Manage and maintain program activities’ budget.
  • Prepare progress reports for the programs.
  • Contribute to Berytech Database development.
  • Promote the mission and activities of Berytech in events at large, and on social media where applicable.



  • Bachelor’s or higher in business, economics, engineering, or any relevant major.


  • At least 5 years of experience in the Programs field, ideally with an incubator or accelerator.


  • Fluency in Arabic and English, French is a plus.
