About Berytech:
Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.
About Euromed Clusters Forward:
ECF is a 4-year project that aims at establishing and improving clusters legal policies, strengthening clusters capacity & regional cooperation, and strengthening regional value chains. Berytech is the implementing partner of ECF in Lebanon, that is funded by the European Union and coordinated by Anima Investment Network with 3 implementing partners and 9 affiliates from the Euromed region.
About Cluster Booster:
Cluster Booster is a technical assistance activity under the Euromed Clusters Forward led by Berytech. It aims at strengthening the skills of cluster managers, staff, and SME members in the South Mediterranean region. This 18-month program offers training and technical help to help clusters grow and succeed.
Key focuses include establishing and improving governance and sustainability models; developing strategies to attract new members; analyzing value chains for better market positioning; scaling-up their business performances and enhancing technological and innovation capabilities to foster North-South Mediterranean collaboration.
Cluster Overview:
A Lebanese ICT association with 120 members, of whom 90 are active, founded 20 years ago. It ambitions to enhance the cooperation and collaboration among Lebanese based ICT companies, expand the ICT penetration and adoption in Lebanon, and position Lebanon as a leading provider of ICT products and services in the region. To achieve these objectives, the association offers capacity building services, advocacy services, and access to market services such as the organization of local exhibitions and participation in global/regional trade shows.
Scope of work
The Hosting Organization (EU Cluster) will:
- Organize a pre-travel needs assessment sessions(s) with the cluster to tailor the program and agenda for their specific needs.
- Host a Lebanese ICT Cluster delegation of 10–11 participants for a structured study visit and immersion program.
- Provide hands-on exposure to cluster governance, operational frameworks, and management practices.
- Present its cluster strategy, service portfolio, financial model, and member engagement mechanisms.
- Facilitate meetings with cluster management staff, member companies, and relevant ecosystem stakeholders to share best practices.
- Share tools, methodologies, and best practices related to cluster development, sustainability, and internationalization.
- Support knowledge transfer through interactive sessions, practical demonstrations, and peer-to-peer exchange.
- Provide tailored recommendations to strengthen the Lebanese cluster’s operational and strategic capacity.
- Develop a detailed mission agenda, including meetings, site visits, networking sessions, and relevant ecosystem engagements.
- Secure attendance and access to a relevant industry or cluster-related event, where applicable, to maximize exposure, networking opportunities, and learning outcomes.
- Coordinate and manage all logistical arrangements related to the mission, including travel coordination (flights), accommodation, local transportation, venue arrangements, and any other necessary organizational aspects to ensure the smooth implementation of the visit.
Expected deliverables
- Support materials: templates, presentation, and resources for participants to use during and after the workshops.
- Agenda: for activities of each of virtual and in-person training and workshops
- Attendance: attendance sheet of the visitor to different activities.
- Travel mission: booking and invoices of flight tickets, accommodation, and other costs of all travelling participants.
- Visit reports: report on the visits organized and their outcomes.
- Activity report for participating in an exhibition/fair.
- Final report: sessions given and final outcomes submitted to Berytech.
Timeline:
- The exchange program will be implemented virtually in April 2026 for preparations and logistical arrangements, and physically in May 2026 in France
- The travel mission of up to 9 cluster staff/board members to the host country shall occur within the mission timeline.
- The final report should be delivered by May 31, 2026.
Qualifications
- Operate within the ICT sector (e.g., digital technologies, software development, AI, cybersecurity, telecom, smart systems, or related fields).
- Demonstrate at least 7+ years of experience in ICT cluster management and service delivery.
- Show proven performance in areas such as governance, member services, innovation support, digital transformation, and/or internationalization within the ICT ecosystem.
- Have experience in organizing study visits, knowledge-transfer activities, or mentoring programs for international clusters or organizations.
- Maintain an active network of ICT companies, startups, research institutions, and ecosystem stakeholders.
