Overview
Berytech is looking for a Content and Communication Coordinator capable of taking on multiple projects and executing on their full implementation strategy.
In addition to creating and managing content plans, and conducting outreach initiatives, the coordinator will also be responsible for creating compelling and engaging content for social media, handling the various pages and covering events. This content will include reels, stills, polls among other content types depending on the needs. The coordinator will utilize their exceptional skills to coordinate with the different programs, develop social content plans and content that effectively communicate Berytech’s key messages, promotes its initiatives, and engages the target audience.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will include:
Communication
- Develop, manage, and implement communication and outreach plans for the programs in coordination with the program stakeholders and the communication department.
- Attend needed meetings, draft the needed briefs, brainstorm with the various programmatic stakeholders to ensure alignment and communicate internally within the Comms team.
- Brief the Visual Designer(s) to develop communication material.
- Prepare communication, content and measurement reports with analysis of all activities and social media metrics.
- Coordinates with the digital marketing specialist and the communication team to optimize online journeys.
Content Creation / Social Media Management
- Drafting clear, timely and relevant content plans for the social platforms while building on key messages, channels, stakeholders, and program needs.
- Producing high-quality visual and text-based content for the various social platforms, such as reels, stories, polls, testimonials, pictures (not artwork which is led by the design team).
- Planning and crafting engaging, and well-structured content that aligns with the target audience and meets the needs of the program while aligning with the organization’s brand voice and style guidelines.
- Attends relevant events to cover activities and develop insightful content.
- Handles all the DMs, engages with the online community and acts as the point of contact on the social channels.
- Reviewing and revising content for clarity, and overall quality. This includes self-editing and incorporating feedback from peers to improve the content.
- Collaborating with the communications team to promote content through social media, email marketing, and other channels.
- Collaborating closely with the external service providers when relevant (videographers, photographers, writers etc.) to support in producing relevant and compelling content to cater to the programmatic and channel needs
- Keeping up with industry trends, best practices, and emerging social media content formats.
Outreach
- Help identify support deals with corporations and other support organizations in the private and public sectors for the Berytech Community.
- Develop and manage the relevant database (communities, speakers, suppliers, sponsors, media).
- Identify and lead on new growth and sponsorship opportunities.
- Research worldwide trends and innovative ideas to apply locally.
- Participate in ecosystem events to network, identify new practices and partnership opportunities as well as contribute to Berytech’s exposure.
- Maintain relationships with relevant partners and stakeholders to maximize communication reach.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Educational Degree: Bachelor’s degree marketing, journalism, communications or equivalent from an accredited university. Additional certificates are a plus.
- Experience: 4 – 6 years of experience in project management, media relations, digital marketing, content writing.
- Languages: Fluency in Arabic and English, French is a plus.
Additional Required Skills:
- Writing & Editing: Exceptional writing, editing, multimedia content creation, and proofreading skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Digital Tools Proficiency: Proficient in content management systems (CMS), digital publishing tools, social media platforms, and analytics tools.
- Digital Marketing Knowledge: Solid understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices for optimizing content performance.
- Research & Information Gathering: Strong research skills and the ability to collect and analyze information from diverse sources.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Creativity & Strategic Thinking: Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and develop innovative content ideas.
- Organization & Time Management: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
- Entrepreneurial Awareness: Familiarity with entrepreneurship, innovation, and the startup ecosystem is considered a strong asset.
