Berytech is seeking a Content and Communication Coordinator capable of taking on multiple projects and executing their full implementation strategy.
In addition to managing communication strategies, organizing events, and conducting outreach initiatives, the coordinator will also be responsible for creating compelling and engaging content across various platforms. This content may include written articles, blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, press releases, and other relevant materials. The coordinator will utilize their exceptional writing skills to develop content that effectively communicates Berytech’s key messages, promotes its initiatives, and engages the target audience.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Lebanon Innovate (LI) is a 42-month program funded by the European Union to revitalize the Lebanese entrepreneurial ecosystem and the productive sectors. The program, based on an innovation roadmap, fosters innovation through supporting Intellectual Property (IP) and knowledge transfer allowing the country to become a knowledge-driven digital nation at the front end of innovation.
Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will include:
Producing high-quality written content for various platforms, such as articles, blogs, social media posts, and press releases.
Create content for Lebanon Innovate’s portal, website, and social media channels (web releases, press releases, and social media content for all channels).
Crafting engaging, and well-structured content that aligns with the target audience and meets the needs of the program while aligning with the organization’s brand voice and style guidelines.
Incorporating relevant keywords and optimizing content for search engine optimization (SEO) purposes. This includes understanding basic SEO principles, conducting keyword research, and implementing best practices to improve visibility.
Reviewing and revising content for clarity and overall quality. This includes self-editing and incorporating feedback from peers to improve the content.
Collaborating with the communications team to promote content through social media, email marketing, and other channels.
Keeping up with industry trends, best practices, and emerging content formats.
Develop, manage, and implement communication and outreach plans for the program in coordination with the program stakeholders Run the social media channels of Lebanon Innovate in coordination with the program stakeholders and the Office of Communications and Outreach.
Brief the Visual Designer to develop communication material.
Pitch interviews, stories, and articles about Lebanon Innovate and its activities to the media in coordination with the media relations focal point within the Office of Communications and Outreach.
Lead on digital marketing planning.
Execute effective communication strategies to engage target audiences and stakeholders.
Prepare communication and outreach reports with an analysis of all activities and social media engagement.
Lead on email marketing for each activity within Lebanon Innovate.
Support community engagement by developing, managing, and implementing activities, events, and projects relevant to the assigned program.
Communicate and liaise with team members to understand their activity’s requirements including event brief, budget, fundraising needs, sponsorship needs, target audience, program, partners, and objectives.
Develop detailed proposals for each activity including the action plan, budget, timeline, venue, supplier, staffing needs, logistics, branding requirements, sponsorship packages, photo/video requirements, etc.
Manage the event including invitation, communications, scheduling, venue details, setup, entertainment, catering, IT requirements, photo/video requirements, community support/partnerships, sponsorships, and branding.
Manage media relations including invitations and follow-up, coverage, and reports.
Develop and implement post-event evaluation processes including data entry, analysis, lessons learned, and recommendations to ultimately contribute to the annual Impact Report
Manage the inventory of communication material (banners, flyers, letterheads, promo items, etc.).
Help identify support deals with corporations and other support organizations in the private and public sectors for the Berytech Community.
Develop and manage the database (communities, speakers, suppliers, sponsors, media).
Identify and lead on new growth and sponsorship opportunities.
Research worldwide trends and innovative ideas to apply locally.
Participate in ecosystem events to network, identify new practices and partnership opportunities, and contribute to Berytech’s exposure.
Maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers, and relevant partners to maximize communication reach.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or equivalent from an accredited university. Additional certificates are a plus.
Experience: 4 years and more in project management, media relations, digital marketing, and content writing.
Language: Fluent in Arabic and English, French is a plus.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Proficient in content management systems, digital publishing tools, and analytics platforms.
Solid understanding of SEO principles and best practices for optimizing content.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Strong research skills and the ability to gather information from various sources.
Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and develop innovative content ideas.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup ecosystem is a plus.
