Overview

The Partnership and Startup Support Specialist strategically manages partnerships and drives the success of the accelerator program(s) by overseeing innovation partners and supporting start-ups throughout their journey. The position aims to foster a thriving ecosystem by facilitating  connections, coordinating workshops, and conducting market research. Additionally, the role involves tracking and enhancing the performance of start-ups, ensuring effective resource allocation, and contributing to the success of program events. The overarching goal is to play a pivotal role in advancing innovation, fostering entrepreneurship, and maximizing the impact of the accelerator program.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will include:

Partnership Management

  • Assist in Identifying and onboarding innovation partners.
  • Provide support, guidance, and training to partners to ensure success when its needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners and work closely with them to achieve mutual goals.
  • Provide input on the performance of existing partners and recommend strategies to improve their programs and sustainable business model.
  • Maintain and implement innovation partner programs, such as training initiatives, etc.
  • Support the line manager in identifying and resolving conflicts and challenges within the innovation partner network.

Start-up Management

  • Oversee the Partner teams’ support in advising entrepreneurs on ideating, prototyping, validating, and enabling the commercialization of start-up products.
  • Review and evaluate start-up pitch decks.
  • Interact with and support portfolio start-ups on a regular basis.

Networking and Partnerships:

  • Facilitate introductions and connections between start-ups and potential clients, investors, and industry partners.
  • Proactively contribute to the identification and establishment of partnerships that can enhance the accelerator program’s ecosystem.

Workshop Coordination:

  • Coordinate and organize workshops, training sessions, and mentorship programs to enhance startup skills.
  • Identify relevant subject matter experts and industry leaders to contribute to the accelerator’s business, product and finance support.
  • Support the procurement team in scouting and selecting external experts.

Market Research:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market research to assist start-ups.
  • Analyze trends in business incubation and regional accelerators.

Performance Tracking:

  • Develop and implement systems for tracking and evaluating startup performance.
  • Measure and report on the impact of support initiatives with the accelerator team.

Resource Allocation:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to allocate resources effectively.
  • Ensure that necessary tools, networks, and mentorship are shared and accessible by team and beneficiaries.

Event Support:

  • Assist in organizing program events, demo days, and networking sessions.
  • Contribute to the development of promotional materials and communication strategies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Education: Bachelor’s or higher in business, entrepreneurship, economics, engineering, or any relevant major.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in the Programs field, ideally with an incubator or accelerator.
  • Language: Fluent in Arabic and English, French is a plus.

Additional Skills:

  • Possesses proven expertise in business development, startup support, or related roles.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem and associated business challenges.
  • Exhibits excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Functions seamlessly as a collaborative team player in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Takes proactive initiative, showcasing resourcefulness and decisive decision-making abilities.
  • Represents the company with a consistently positive and professional image to both internal and external stakeholders.
