Overview

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon. The ScaleSmart program aims to support pre-seed or seed startups working in different sectors to scale up by equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to plan a solid fundraising path, matching them with investors and investment opportunities, and improving their chances of successfully raising funds.

Scope of work

The ScaleSmart program seeks an experienced CTO to advise startups on their internal software and technology development strategy. The engagement includes one-on-one sessions with the startups for tailored guidance over the duration of 4 months to support the following:

1. Assessment and Analysis:

  • Conduct a comprehensive review of current software technology stack, tools, and processes.
  • Identify gaps, redundancies, and inefficiencies in internal and external communication and operations.
  • Evaluate existing SaaS solutions and their effectiveness in meeting business needs.

2. Technology Strategy Development

  • Recommend scalable solutions for internal operations, communication, and client management.
  • Develop a strategic technology roadmap aligned with the startup’s business goals.

3. Communication Systems Centralization

  • Support in the design of a strategy for centralizing internal communications.
  • Advise on the integration of technology for better management of communication with third parties, including but not limited to clients.

4. CRM Implementation Guidance

  • Assess CRM needs based on existing business processes and client management requirements.
  • Advise on best practices concerning CRM solutions that align with the startup’s expectations and scalability needs.
  • Assist in planning the implementation and integration of the chosen CRM system.

Deliverables

  • Assessment Report
  • Detailed analysis of the startup’s current technological infrastructure and operational processes.
  • Identification of gaps and inefficiencies.
  • Technology Strategy Roadmap
  • Assistance and advisement on developing a roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Outline of recommended solutions and implementation timelines.
  • Communication Centralization Plan
  • Strategies and guidelines for centralizing communication systems.
  • Inclusion of a call center implementation plan.
  • CRM Recommendation Report
  • Evaluation of potential CRM systems.
  • Tailored recommendations to meet the startup’s specific needs.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or computer engineering, or other relevant degree
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, software architecture, or similar topics
  • Knowledge of industries such as Marketplaces, Fintech, SaaS and more
  • Experience understanding complex problems and putting them in code
  • Startup experience is a plus
