Overview

Berytech is looking for a Senior Programs Officer responsible for planning and implementing projects and activities for the Projects Lab Department under the support and the supervision of the Programs Manager and Programs Director.

 

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Senior Programs Officer is a member of the Project Labs Department, responsible for

  • Implementing and completing multiple projects’ activities within budget and scope
  • Researching best practices, trends, data and developing analysis reports
  • Supporting in conducting consultancy missions and developing corporate activities to empower entrepreneurship ecosystems
  • Preparing technical reports and analytical studies required by external and internal stakeholders
  • Organizing the Project Lab Department’s events with the support of various departments across Berytech
  • Supporting in the development of Berytech’s local and international projects and partnerships

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB TASKS

 

Implement and complete multiple projects’ activities within budget and scope

  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives
  • Prepare the implementation project plan in coordination with the Programs Manager
  • Develop and implement project activities
  • Manage the activities implementations related to the projects, in coordination with concerned departments including planning, execution, follow up, outreach and mobilization of stakeholders, monitoring and reporting
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget,
  • Direct follow up with partners and donors to understand project requirements and liaise for projects implementation
  • Add value and explore opportunities through researching new practices and improving existing tools of the programs

 

Conduct research, prepare national reports, and develop frameworks

  • Collect, organize and analyze data to develop reports and frameworks on a national and international level according to activities’ needs
  • Develop and maintain a database of stakeholders to support the research
  • Outreach to stakeholders to gather needed data
  • Contribute to the development and analysis of analytical studies and consultancy missions

 

Prepare technical reports for upper management and donors regarding status of project

  • Produce reporting on the progress and status of projects ensuring that issues are escalated and managed as required
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Prepare the projects’ reporting following the templates shared by the donors
  • Ensure a proper budget management, analysis and control for the projects

 

Implement project admin tasks

  • Market intelligence: support in developing and processing the department’s targeted database (startups, experts, partners, etc.)
  • File all the required documents and sheets on a common platform
  • Support in the research of other projects implemented in different organizations
  • Support in handling the logistics of the events

 

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Degree: Bachelor’s or higher preferably in Economics

Experience: at least 4 years of experience, preferably in research, consultancy firms or entrepreneurship organizations

Languages: fluency in Arabic and English, French is a plus

IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other office productivity tools, with aptitude to learn new software and systems

Skills: strong analytical skills with a particular attention to details mastering technical content development, interpersonal skills, keen to work in a team environment and customer oriented, and able to multitask and prioritize tasks  

Life Skills: assertive, dynamic, flexible, collaborative, resourceful, proactive, results-driven, organized, passionate about entrepreneurship, new business ideas and trends
