Overview

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

The ScaleSmart program aims to support pre-seed or seed startups working in different sectors to scale up by equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to plan a solid fundraising path, matching them with investors and investment opportunities, and improving their chances of successfully raising funds.

Scope of work

The ScaleSmart program seeks a senior cybersecurity Consultant to advise one startup developing a adigital shared access software. The engagement includes one-on-one sessions with the startups for tailored guidance over the duration of 4 months to support in the following:

1. Security Assessment:

• Conduct a comprehensive review of the startup’s existing cybersecurity measures.
• Identify vulnerabilities and areas of non-compliance with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and U.S. cybersecurity regulations.

2. Regulatory Compliance Guidance:

• Provide detailed information on relevant cybersecurity laws, regulations, and standards in the Gulf region and the United States.
• Advise on data protection laws and their impact on the current and future development of the software.

3. Best Practices Recommendations

• Provide guidance on achieving certifications or attestations that may be beneficial and/or required for the market entry for GCC and the United States.

4. Roadmap Development

• Assist the team in developing a prioritized action plan outlining steps to achieve compliance and enhance cybersecurity measures.
• Provide guidance on timelines and resources required for implementation.
