Abbas is a mobile robotics expert specializing in AMR navigation systems. He holds a Ph.D. in Human-Robot Interaction from the American University of Beirut.
In 2019, he founded a robotics startup focused on autonomous navigation solutions. Abbas was named to the MIT Innovators Under 35 list in MENA in 2019 and Forbes 30 Under 30 in the Middle East in 2020.
Since 2022, Abbas has been with ABB Robotics, where he currently leads the R&D Navigation and Control department for the AMR Product Line. Throughout his career, he has actively mentored technical founders, provided technical consultancy to robotics startups, and participated in industry-academia collaborations.
