Clara Pellerin is an experienced project lead with expertise in fragile and conflict-affected settings. With an academic background in Peace and Conflict Studies from Sciences Po Paris and early specialization in the Middle East she has been working with GIZ since 2017. Clara began her career as a junior advisor focused on technical expertise and strategic consulting in fragile contexts. She has since, taken on different leadership roles in Iraq and Lebanon, managing large-scale projects at the nexus of food security, reconstruction, social cohesion, and private sector development.
Currently, she heads a Transitional Development Assistance project in Lebanon aimed at enhancing the resilience of local communities and economic actors. The project supports agricultural businesses, MSMEs in food processing, and local governance structures to strengthen economic recovery, social cohesion, and community-driven development.
