Karam Robeil is a Research Associate at the Institute of Regional and International Studies (IRIS). His research looks into environmental policy and governance, with a specific focus on topics like strategic planning, ecosystem management, and participatory governance. During his study at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS), Karam was part of the team that built the first solar vehicle in Kurdistan. Coming from climate-affected Iraq, he advocates for advancing sustainable solutions to environmental problems that take into account the needs of vulnerable communities and the sociopolitical realities of their contexts.
