Karl Gedda benefited from a double scientific and commercial education both in France and in California. He began his career as a consultant in USA, first in the context of the organizational change strategies focused on empowerment and service, then in the context of the diversification strategies of west coast high-tech innovative SMEs.
Back in Europe, a principal for EY strategy advisory services, he specialised in creativity and innovation projects, particularly through the creation of businesses, as well as in the establishment of networks and territorial ecosystems such as clusters.
With this experience, he became start-up CEO or managed several public-private organizations in France: competitiveness clusters, technological platforms in public-private partnerships, and research projects. He has turned out to be just as much an entrepreneur within start-ups as a “public-preneur” in semi-public organizations.
From 2015 to 2022, it took the next step by designing acceleration programs at the European level funded by H2020. These enabled scale-ups to access growth opportunities at the European level. Technically he’s expert in photonics, deep-tech and biomimicry and he’s an expert in fit to market strategies.
