Saad Maakaron is the cofounder of Green essence and green wheels. He’s a mechanical engineer who graduated from AUB in the year 2000, after gaining experience in academia, he moved to the steel industry where he was a project lead for 10 years in heavy equipment manufacturing, electrical equipment manufacturing and testing, software development, construction, integration, and commissioning of steel plants in the far East, Europe and Africa. Saad returned to Lebanon in 2016 and activated Green Essence, now a market leader in renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions for businesses and households in Lebanon. In 2022, he launched green wheels, a sister company offering sustainable transportation solutions of products in the Bekaa region. As his businesses grow, Maakaron aims to democratize renewable energy benefits and promote sustainable energy practices in Lebanon.
