Yehia Houry is the Chief Programs Officer at Flat6Labs, a regional startup accelerator and VC fund that fosters and invests in entrepreneurs with cutting-edge ideas.
Yehia has 15 years of experience building and leading teams, with a particular expertise in venture capital investment and startup entrepreneur support, focused on technology-driven solutions primarily in emerging markets. Proven track record in business development and fundraising, policy advisor to multiple public sector stakeholders, and board member to several high-growth startups.
Yehia leads the process and the operations of Flat6Labs programs, designing and implementing an effective business strategy to position the company as a market leader internationally. He oversees the acceleration process of portfolio companies funded by Flat6Labs’ seed funds. Yehia is also responsible for establishing and driving the overall vision, leadership, and strategy for Flat6Labs, in collaboration with the CEO and CIO.
Prior to joining Flat6Labs in 2017, Yehia was leading tech-driven initiatives for youth employability & entrepreneurship at a regional MENA organization. He held various roles in non-governmental, research, and multilateral organizations in Africa and Asia before joining the World Bank. He advised a large-scale health-tech company in India with the Acumen Fund and managed business strategy at a startup in Jordan. Yehia holds a BSc in Computer Science from McGill University in Montreal and a Master’s in International Affairs from Columbia University in New York.
