Head of Global Strategic Alliances, HyperCycle AI

Ziad-Alexandre Hayek brings over 40 years of global experience spanning investment banking, corporate strategy, artificial intelligence, public policy, and public-private partnerships. He has worked across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, the U.S., and Latin America. In 2019, he was nominated for the presidency of the World Bank. 

He currently serves as Head of Global Strategic Alliances at HyperCycle AI (USA) and President of the World Association of PPP Units & Professionals (Switzerland). He is also a Senior Advisor to the Paxon Group (Australia) and sits on the Board of Trustees of USEK University (Lebanon). 

Hayek’s previous roles include: 

  • Vice Chair of the United Nations Working Party on PPP 
  • Secretary General of Lebanon’s High Council for Privatization and PPP 
  • CEO of Talaya Water and Lonbridge Associates 
  • Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns 
  • President of Indosuez Mexico 
  • Head of International Securitization at Citibank 
  • Vice President at Salomon Brothers 

He has served on the boards of numerous companies, banks, NGOs, and tech startups, and was a member of the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations. 

Mr. Hayek holds an M.A. in International Management from the University of Texas at Dallas, studied business administration at ITESM (Mexico), is certified in AI by IBM, and is registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority as a CEO of a financial institution. He has lectured at several Lebanese universities and at Sciences Po, and has spoken at over 150 global conferences. 

A citizen of the U.S., U.K., and Lebanon, Hayek is conversant in 11 languages.
