touch mobile telecommunications and data operator in Lebanon, managed by Zain Group, has announced a partnership with IOTree, Lebanon’s first wireless network of smart traps for harmful pests, at the Agri-Food Innovation Day organized by Berytech in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The 9 finalist startup teams of Berytech’s Agrytech Program recently went through an intensive Scaling Bootcamp to help them develop a growth plan for their solutions. The four-day program was executed by Agrytech’s training partner, the IES with the support of the Agrytech certified team of trainers.
Berytech successfully organized Lebanon’s first agri-food innovation conference and exhibition attended by over 1200 students, academics and researchers, engineers, innovators, investors, agri-food sector players, government officials, the media and ecosystem partners.
Carla Tanas, guest speaker at the Lebanon Agri-Food Innovation Day 2019 (AFID) and founder of the Future Agro Challenge joined the Agrytech Team and competition jury to announce the two winners of this year’s local edition: Compost Baladi – Lebanon Agripreneur of the Year 2019, and Clean2O, first runner up.
QOOT, which means food and sustenance in Arabic, is the first agri-food innovation cluster in Lebanon. It was officially launched at the Lebanon Agri-Food Innovation Day 2019 organized by Berytech – with the support of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and under the patronage of H.E. Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
