Amanda Haydar joined the Berytech team as a Content and Communication Coordinator in 2025, and she currently has the honor of supporting various programs.
She has a background in Psychology and Political Science, and holds a Masters in International Peace Studies from Trinity College Dublin. Having grown up in the Canadian Prairies before moving to Lebanon as a teenager, she is very much a ‘third-culture kid’.
Amanda’s curiosity to better understand the world, coupled with a passion for humanitarian matters and writing led her to work with non-profits and in journalism over the years. Notably, she worked with Beit El Baraka after the Beirut port explosion, and with L’Orient Today and Time Out Jeddah as an editor and journalist.
Amanda has a keen appreciation for creative expression. Outside work, she enjoys practicing and teaching yoga. Her passion for yoga took her to Mysore, India in 2022, where she completed her first teacher training. Otherwise, she likes to read, learn new things, play the guitar and sing.
