Chadi Abou Nohra is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in investment and corporate banking. With over two decades of experience, he has developed a deep understanding of project finance, credit advisory, and business development across various industries, including manufacturing and commodities trade.
In November 2021, Chadi joined Berytech as part of the SME Department to oversee the Food System Challenge program, in coordination with the United Nations’ World Food Programme. He was later promoted to Deputy Director and then Director of the department in October 2022 and March 2023, respectively, to help run SME support and business development programs.
Chadi has specialized in the oil and gas segment, building a comprehensive skillset in multi-party supply structuring, specific trade finance arranging, and cash management. He has been instrumental in preparing, structuring, setting, closing, and deploying several project finance deals worth over USD 2 billion, including the erection of oil terminals and extensions of cement production plants.
In 2019, Chadi established and headed the Special Funds unit at Bank Audi, where he managed the institution’s strategic external funds and related international financial institutions relations. He played a key role in negotiating, closing, managing, and implementing the largest green fund dedicated to the Lebanese domestic private sector, established in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), for an aggregate value of USD 200 million.
Chadi has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Université St Joseph, a Master’s in Financial Economics from Université Paris I Sorbonne, and an MBA from Université Paris IX Dauphine. He is a Lebanese and US citizen, a father to one boy, a history buff, and deeply passionate about technology in all its forms.
