Senior Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer

Cynthia Rahy joined Berytech in January 2020 as the Senior Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer handling all ME&L related systems, processes, analysis, and reporting across Berytech’s program portfolio.

 

Cynthia has more than 8 years of progressive experience in both profit and non-profit entities. In recent years, she worked for an International Non-governmental Organization as Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager actively supporting the organization’s M&E practices by leading the introduction, development and maintenance of systems and tools in compliance with the organization’s global M&E system set by Head Office. Cynthia had the chance to work in different countries with people from different values and backgrounds showing empathy and her ability to understand and respect cultural differences.

 

Previously, Cynthia worked in the Quality Assurance department of different companies from the private sector in Lebanon, implementing management systems according to ISO Standards (International Organization for Standardization) focusing on organizational development and strategic change.

 

She is passionate about helping organizations improve their processes’ efficiency and effectiveness; she enjoys every step of the change and this has been her consultancy job till today.

 

Cynthia is an International Registered Certified Auditor/Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) and ISO 27000:2013 (Information Security Management System). Also, she is a member of Lebanese Evaluation Association (LebEval) that is dedicated to improving the science and practice of evaluation in Lebanon. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Lebanese university and a master’s degree in Industrial Technology from Saint Joseph university.

 

Cynthia truly believes everyone has unique skills and talents and that turning them into strengths is key for a healthy work environment and greater achievements. She is always seeking for collaboration, so you will find her knocking on your door, searching for your strengths and adapting the processes to ensure optimum results, and motivate a group of people toward a common goal.
