Ghiwa joined Berytech in August 2024 as a Programs coordinator under the ACT Smart Innovation Hub, supporting entrepreneurs through the different phases of the accelerator programs. This role marks a significant step in her career, enabling her to make an impact on the agri-food and cleantech sectors and positively contributing to the development and growth of local startups.
She holds a masters’ degree in Agricultural Sciences – Territory Engineering/Landscape and Heritage from the Lebanese University (LU) and is currently pursuing the Professional Graduate Diploma in Project Management from the American University of Beirut (AUB).
Before joining Berytech, Ghiwa worked as a Business Portfolio assistant for the Agriculture and Rural Empowerment Activity, where she supported private companies in developing their capacities and fostering the growth of various agricultural value chains in Lebanon (wine and arak value chain, vegetables, avocado, dairy, spices and herbs…).
Previously, she worked as a Project Coordinator at a local NGO, where she supported the management of extensive research initiatives, supervised teams, and managed complex projects focused on socioeconomic development, local governance, policy development and advocacy campaigns. In this role, Ghiwa discovered her passion for a career focused on creating impactful change and empowering individuals leading to societal improvement and national progress on the long term.
Ghiwa is a passionate advocate for protecting and safeguarding the accessibility of the Lebanese public coast, supporting efforts to preserve this vital natural resource for future generations.
In her personal life, Ghiwa maintains a balanced lifestyle by regularly working out to stay physically and mentally fit. During her free time, she enjoys road trips with friends, exploring hidden gems and new places around Lebanon.
