Sary Khachouf joined Berytech in April 2022 as a Program Manager. In her current role, Sary is in charge of the Women Economic Empowerment for Lebanon (WEEL), responsible for the overall project management components. She manages the activities of the business advisors and other stakeholders, including communications & outreach, accounting, finance, and administration.
Before joining Berytech, Sary was a Senior Project Manager at Connect Global Strategies, an international consultancy firm with a focus on assisting small and medium enterprises to achieve sustainable growth through successful market entry and expansion into Canada and the MENA regions. In parallel, she led the business development strategy of Crowdfarming Lebanon, a Lebanese startup incubated at Berytech under the Agrytech program.
She handled several managerial positions in the banking sector, notably leading efforts in corporate social responsibility, communication, and brand management until 2021, during that period she acted as a board member of the United Nation’s Global Compact – Network Lebanon.
A passionate promoter of local initiatives, collaboration, and solidarity, she launched The Hope Project as a response to the 2020 Beirut explosion in collaboration with the UNGC’s Beirut Relief Initiative. The project helped raise funds for the affected SMEs, through the marketing and sale of artifacts designed by promising women talents.
As a strong advocate for embracing sustainable practices in the business, she designed and delivered business ethics & sustainability courses to the Executive MBA cohorts at the University of Balamand. Her early career started in the retail industry, joining Azadea Group she handled regional positions namely with Inditex and Gymboree.
Sary holds an Executive MBA Degree from the Lebanese American University, a BA in Management from Notre Dame University as well as numerous certifications from international institutions, with an emphasis on sustainability.
A dedicated mother, Sary is keen on maintaining a balance between work and family. Her favorite escape time is spent on sports, morning hikes, music, arts, and fashion.
