The REAF (Rural Entrepreneurs in Agri-Food) Program made a vibrant mark at the PowerX Summit, where sustainability and entrepreneurship took center stage. Seventeen startups from across the program’s three batches came together to showcase their cutting-edge solutions.
Unlike traditional exhibitions, the REAF presence took the form of a single, open-concept booth, a collaborative space built around long communal tables. This shared setup created a unified environment where all participating startups could exhibit side by side. The result was a dynamic hub of interaction, synergy, and joint visibility, a space where the energy and innovation of rural entrepreneurship could truly shine.
Throughout the summit, the REAF booth drew steady attention from investors, specialists, ecosystem stakeholders, and policymakers. One of the most notable visits was from H.E. Minister of Agriculture Nizar Hani, who expressed strong interest in several of the showcased startups. The Minister engaged directly with founders to better understand their solutions and explore their potential to transform Lebanon’s rural economy.
The participating entrepreneurs, representing all three batches of the REAF program, offered a diverse range of innovations spanning Agriculture, Agri-food, sustainability, Cleantech and ecotourism. Many of them held one-on-one meetings with potential partners and clients, turning visibility into tangible opportunity.
More than just an exhibition, the REAF booth served as a powerful demonstration of Lebanon’s rural entrepreneurial resilience, fostering collaboration and celebrating the spirit of innovation that continues to drive the agri-food sector forward.
