Advanced SolidWorks Workshop | Pre-manufacturing Phase

February 5, 2018 at 5:30 pm
Till: February 9, 2018 at 8:00 pm
Berytech Innovation Park Mar Roukoz

Workshop Details

Trainer: Laetita Saade – Mechanical Engineer & Certified SolidWorks Associate

This course defines the essential steps before the manufacturing phase begins.

  • The object and the assembly should undergo testing to verify that the produced outcome after the manufacturing processes will not be a failure.
  • Simulation studies will verify that the outcome can withstand the real-time conditions. Motion studies will verify that the outcome can move according to needs. Molding will be the basis of mass production.
  • At the end of this course, attendees will be fully aware of the basic methods to optimize and ameliorate their design and manufacture accordingly

All necessary explanations will be done before the students practice the notions. Exercises will be given to the students right after the explanation so that they can apply.

Notes

Attendees are required to have their own laptops.

Seats: 12 seats (limited)

Workshop Fee: US$30.00 for all three sessions

Schedule

Session 1: Static Simulation Analysis

Monday, February 5, 2018

5:30 PM – 8:00 PM

  • Learn how to analyze if your objects can withstand the force that they are subjected to in real life, with reference to the objects shape, material, and location of fixture. Simulation is a necessity for optimizing the design.

Session 2: Motion Study and Basic Animation of an Assembly

Wednesday, February 7, 2018

5:30 PM – 8:00 PM

  • Learn how to set your assembly to motion, thus being able to study the displacement, velocity, acceleration acting on the moving components in the assembly. Also, learn how to animate the movement of the assembly in order to better represent your product.

Session 3: Molding

Friday, February 9, 2018

5:30 PM – 8:00 PM

  • Learn how to create and optimize the mold in which an object can be mass produced.
