Berytech Fab Lab and National Instruments are organizing the Agri-Food Tech Challenge, part of the Agrytech Program funded jointly by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Lebanon and Berytech, with training workshops, prototype development and a final judging day.
The objective is to help teams and Lebanese startups be ready for the Agrytech Hackathon (April 2018), as well as qualify for the Agrytech Program, Batch II (June 2018).
Participants will be given certificates of attendance as well as National Instruments certificates of completion for “LabVIEW Core 1” and for “Design Real Systems Fast with NI myRIO”.
Training Workshop – February 5 – 16, 2018
Week 1: Training on National Instruments Software LabVIEW
Participants will be trained on the use of National Instruments software LabVIEW, a systems engineering software for applications that require test, measurement, and control with rapid access to hardware and data insights.

Location: National Instruments Training Room, Berytech Innovation Park in Bechara El Khoury
Time: 3:00pm – 7:00pm
Trainer: Dany Ghraizi – a Mechanical Engineering student at the Lebanese University. He is a certified LabVIEW Associate Developer and currently working as LabVIEW Student Ambassador.
Week 2: Training on National Instruments Hardware myRIO
Dates: February 12-16, 2018
Locations: National Instruments Training Room, Berytech Innovation Park in Bechara El Khoury
and Berytech Fab Lab, Berytech Innovation Park in Mar Roukoz
Time: 3:00pm – 7:00pm
Trainer: Mounzer Saleh – an Academic Field Engineer at National Instruments. Mounzer holds a degree in Electrical and Communication Engineering. He currently works with academic professors on closing the gap between the theory and the actual word by bringing hands-on experience to the students. He also makes sure that academic researchers have access to the latest trends in technology provided by National Instruments.
Participants will be requested to download the software on their personal laptops.
Prototype Development – February 17 – March 12, 2018
Judging Day – March 13, 2018
At the end of the Prototype Development phase, there will be a judging day, where the participants will present their ideas in front of judges.
