Following the three editions of the Artificial intelligence series, we are launching the first edition of the fintech series focusing on Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin. We are bringing together 4 speakers to talk about each of the three technologies, the implementation, the current challenges we are facing, the opportunities available, and the importance of building talent and growing this community.

Our line of Speakers

Stéphane Abichaker has more than 18 years of experience in banking and finance with an emphasis on investment banking and advisory. He is a Certified Bitcoin Professional, who has given numerous talks and written articles about bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and blockchain. Abichaker has taught finance, strategy, research methodology and statistics at Université Saint Joseph.

Mark Ziade is the founder and CEO at Helena, a ConsenSys incubated startup using gamified prediction markets to deliver real-time quantified insights. Prior to that, Ziade was a founding member of ConsenSys Labs where he focused on managing the venture studio’s portfolio of startups and assisting teams in defining their business models. He will be talking about Blockchain and Decentralized Finance (DeFi).

Amir Abdel Baki is the co-founder of BlocRecs, a blockchain-based platform that allows the instant issuance and verification of educational certificates. He is also an ambassador to the ConsenSys supported BUIDL community in Lebanon which focuses on raising awareness about blockchain. Abdel Baki will be talking about the implementation of blockchain technology in his startup and he will discuss blockchain case studies across different industries

Randa Al-Rifai is the founder and organizer of the Bitcoin Blockchain Beirut Labs and the Lebanese Association for Digital Transformation. she will talk about the mission of educating and developing the youth through creating a community of like-minded people and organizing meetups, and workshops. Al-Rifai has extensive experience in the banking and financial services industry and holds a certificate in digital currency.
