The third and last edition of the Berytech Meetups – Fintech series focuses on cybersecurity: Cyber threats, Prevention methods, and Case studies with experts:
Tony Feghali, CEO of Potech Consulting, who will be discussing the steps to decrease cybercrime, the risks and the threats of hacking highlighting real case studies on major breaches, and the regulations that exist to protect individuals. During his 20 years career, Tony occupied several technical and managerial positions with known system integrators and was a consultant to the Lebanese Army/Ministry of Defense for 3 years.
Hadi el khoury, an independent Cybersecurity and GDPR Advisor, will be talking about how to muscle up the FinTech industry’s collective imagination on threats and how to tell Business Readable Hacker Stories, he will also be discussing if the FinTech industry is as strong in Hacker Stories as it is in User Stories. For the last 18 years, Hadi has been advising and training organizations across the world on cybersecurity, compliance and digital risk management. He’s a co-founding member of the Information Systems Security Association’s Chapter in France and has served as a civilian reservist in the French Army’s Cyberdefense unit.
Finally, Shawki Ahwash, a career banker and an anti-financial crime professional, will be focusing on how digitization is leading to increased cybercrime risks, what are the kinds of cyber-enabled crimes committed via email compromise in financial institutions, cybercrime as a predicate offense to money laundering under local and international regulation, and will be discussing cases of cyber heist from around the world. Shawki is a certified anti-money Laundering Specialist & a holder of Combating Financial Crime certificate from CISI-London. He is also a lecturer at ESA teaching corporate white-collar crime courses, & a speaker with Union of Arab Banks.
