Berytech and Donner Sang Compter are organizing a blood drive at the three Innovation Parks!
To date, there are unfortunately no unified policies adopted by our hospitals to accept/reject potential blood donors. The following lines will give you a general idea about the eligibility criteria to donate blood. The final decision is taken by the medical personnel on the day of the blood drive.
Most people can give blood. If you are generally in good health, aged 18 to 65 and weigh at least 50kg for women and 60 kg for men, you can donate. You can repeat the process every 8 weeks; that’s approximately every 2 months, up to 4 times a year for women and 5 times for men.
There are many reasons to be rejected while attempting to donate blood. In simple terms, they fall into 2 main categories: the ones linked to the donor’s health, and the others linked to the patient’s. We understand that it can be very disappointing to be unable to give blood. However, we do hope that you understand our duty to ensure the safety of both the donor and the patient.

Donner Sang Compter is a non-profit, non-governmental organization. Their mission is to promote and raise awareness about voluntary non remunerated blood donation in Lebanon. www.dsclebanon.org
