The Embassy of Lebanon in the United Kingdom is hosting “The Food and Beverage Industry. Opportunities between the UK and Lebanon”. 

During this webinar, experts from the United Kingdom and Lebanon will be sharing their experience on bridging the logistics gap and market between the UK and Lebanon, while discussing best practices.  

The webinar will highlight the dos and don’ts in the UK, and converge their future interest in the economic departments of the Embassy of Lebanon in the UK as well as the newly established Lebanese F&B Association. 

The webinar is open to companies who would like to potentially export to the UK and access a new market.

Session 1: The Dynamics of the Food and Beverage Market in the UK: Lebanese Brands Potential – Sustainability and Challenges in the face of COVID-19 and Brexit

This session will be moderated by Mr. Atef Idriss, and will revolve around the UK market trends and needs.

Session 2: From Lebanon to the world- Scaling agri-food startups and SMEs 

This session will give an overview of the agri-food sector and the agriTech startup scene in Lebanon, cover efficient planning and strategy to become export ready, while using examples of startups and SMEs who are exporting to the UK, members of the QOOT Agri-Food Innovation Cluster of Lebanon and/or part of Berytech’s ecosystem.

Session 3: Lebanon’s Fresh Produce Market in the UK: Are you ready to export?

This session will be moderated by Mr. Ralph Nehme and will tackle the competitiveness and sustainability of imports, focusing on understanding the dynamics to gain quick access to the UK market.

Session 4: Wines of Lebanon in the UK: Growth in Times of Uncertainty.

This session will be moderated by Mr. Michael Karam – Lebanese author, journalist and wine writer (UK) and will revolve around ways to gain a bigger market share, sharing with new-comers lessons learned and what to expect. Another topic discussed will be whether other Lebanese spirits like Arak and Gin can compete in the UK.
