Al Haush is an agri-touristic project featuring a guest house, a large farm producing numerous kinds of crops, fruits and vegetables, and a production facility which transforms crops into packaged Lebanese speciality foods and produces raw natural ingredients for wellness products and cosmetics.
The increased demand on Al Haush’s 100% natural products led them to supply several well-known establishments in Beirut and Metn. They are also in negotiations with new buyers and e-commerce platforms. The company also intends to target the market directly through pop up stores in farmers markets and festivals.
The main constraint is that the demand for Al Haush products is increasing very rapidly, yet their production capacity and not been able to keep up to meet this demand efficiently. LED will cost-share with Al Haush to hire two experts who will bring knowledge of agricultural practices and product development, with a focus on harvests produced in Central Bekaa. With LED’s support, Al Haush expects to boost its sales and create 5 jobs by 2020.
