Aryaf Chtaura is a company that produces sells and distributes several kinds of Lebanese foods such as halva tahini olives olive oil pickles and jams. The company is focusing on the export business where they have partnerships in KSA UAE and Qatar.
Aryaf Chtaura is currently negotiating new deals with multiple international clients who will import from Aryaf Chtaura several SKUs such as olives and olive oil jams pastes and pickles.
The main constraints affecting this deal is that Aryaf Chtaura needs to get an ISO 22000 certification to be able to export to the UAE and KSA. Without this certification, these new deals will be lost.
LED will cost-share with Aryaf Chtaura to hire a consultant with expertise in ISO22000 to work with the company to review and improve its processes and procedures so that Aryaf Chtaura can obtain this certification. Aryaf will designate a quality control manager to work with the consultant and will invest in all the upgrades necessary to meet the standard. With LED’s support, Aryaf Chtaura expects to increase their sales and generate five new jobs by 2020
