DEL LIBANO SAL invested in building the first automated pasta factory in 2021, which produces a variety of pasta products using hard (durum) wheat, grown in the Beqaa Valley, Akkar and South of Lebanon, and which is purchased directly from local farmers in US Dollars at competitive prices. Currently, they offer ten pasta products sold at more than 1500 points of sale across Lebanon.
Del Libano pasta is made in Lebanon in accordance with the highest industry standards. All Del Libano products do not contain any added chemical materials such as colors, flavors and preservatives.
The main challenges they seek to address are the following: Import substitution through 100% local production. Increase food security in terms of quantity and affordability. Ensure food safety and longer shelf-life. Create jobs and develop the local community. Create potential for export.
