Dolmen Corporation is an electromechanical company that has implemented many power projects in Lebanon and is registered in the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation for the production power from solar energy.
The Ministry of Energy and Water has launched a Request for Proposal for the design, construction and commissioning of high voltage gas insulated switchgear substations and for the installation and commissioning of high voltage underground cables. Also, Rene Mouawad Foundation is negotiating with Dolmen for a deal to implement 25 solar panels projects in the Beqaa.
The main barrier affecting these deals is that Dolmen needs to implement an ISO 9001 quality management system for the offered goods or services, certified by a member of the IQNET or other organization accredited for this purpose by a national accreditation body.
LED will cost-share with Dolmen Corporation to hire a Quality Management Expert to assist the company in making the necessary changes that are required for the ISO 9001 standard.
With LED assistance, the company expects to increase sales and generate 23 jobs by 2020.
