On Tuesday, September 25th LED signed an MOU with Hawa Chicken, a poultry production and distribution company, based in Safra Mount Lebanon, offering high-quality eggs and chicken. The company started in 1957 as a small farm and grew to become the number one distributor of poultry and poultry products in Lebanon with 15 branches.
Currently, Hawa Chicken has started negotiating franchising relationships with several individuals, at least three of which could open new outlets within the next year in different areas around Lebanon.
The main constraint affecting the potential franchising deals is that Hawa Chicken has not yet developed its franchising system, inclusive of standardized franchise agreements and manuals that outline standardized processes and procedures and brand management aspects. Thus, a formal, structured franchise system is needed.
LED will hire a local consulting company to develop Franchise Operation Manuals, Training Program Manuals, Handbooks on Site Location/Selection & New Outlet/Branch Opening and Outlet/Branch Operation Manual Progress Report. With LED’s assistance, Hawa Chicken expects to increase its sales and hire a good amount of Lebanese employees in the coming two years.
