Hayat Doner AlTurki

LED will cost-share with Hayat Doner to hire a consultant to guide the company on the franchising strategy and implement a QMS aligned with an ISO 9001:2015 to become certified.

Hayat Doner AlTurki, established in 2015 is a chain of restaurant offering Turkish-style fast food. In less than three years, the company has grown from one to six branches—in Mazraa and Mcharafieh in Beirut and Nabatieh, Chtaura, Saida and Tyre in South Lebanon.

Hayat Doner is currently negotiating with prospective franchisees in Bekaa, Mount Lebanon, and North Lebanon. However, the owner does not yet have in place a franchising system to guide franchisee operations.

LED will cost-share with Hayat Doner to hire a consultant to guide the company on the franchising strategy and implement a QMS aligned with an ISO 9001:2015 to become certified. The consultant will develop, and document systems and processes needed to conduct operations, ensure quality and consistency that will make the franchise model sustainable in the long term.

With LED’s support, the company will increase sales significantly and generate 75 new jobs by 2020. Many of these jobs will be in rural and economically underserved areas, including Chtaura, Baalbek, Tripoli, and Zahrani-Nabatieh; many of the jobs will go to women.
