M’ptits Fruits

LED will hire a consultant to define improve production and harvest and post-harvest handing practices to yield better fruit quality.

M’ptits fruits is a Lebanese farm specialized in the cultivation of berries. Located in Aitanit at 1100 m altitude its plants were imported from France in 2002 and planted in a small plot of land in West Beqaa. It produces organic varieties of white and red raspberries blueberries and strawberries.

M’ptit Fruit is discussing with two local buyers to purchase raspberries from them. They used to purchase from M’ptits fruit but in 2018 they stopped buying due to poor fruit quality. M’ptits fruit is negotiating with these buyers to resume purchasing in the fruit quality is improved. LED will hire a consultant to define improve production and harvest and post-harvest handing practices to yield better fruit quality. The consultant will also advise the company on new sales channels for fruit that cannot be sold in the fresh market.

With LED support, the company expects to increase its sales and creates five new jobs
